Quebec Dealer Named Top for Chaparral Worldwide and Top for Monterey in Canada

Groupe Performance Marine, Saint-Paul-de-Lîle-aux-Noix, Quebec, was recently recognized as a top-performing seller at two different boat builder dealer events. Chaparral and Monterey both recognized the dealer as achieving outstanding sales for the 2013 model year.

Chaparral Boats recognized Groupe Performance Marine as its top worldwide dealer at its annual dealer meeting held in Key Largo, Florida in mid August. The event attracted over 450 dealers, their staff and family members. Chaparral recognized its top 30 North American dealers at the event. In addition to Performance Marine taking the top spot, other Canadian dealers recognized at the event included Buckeye Marine in Bobcaygeon, Ontario and Pride Marine Group, which has several locations throughout Ontario.

"Since the economic downturn began in the US in 2008, business for dealers there has not been great,' explains Denis Lebreux, Groupe Performance Marine's Director of Sales. "This played a role in our dealership in becoming Chaparral's top dealer worldwide in 2013. Business in the US is now beginning to pick up. Chaparral has been excellent to deal with over the years.'

Lebreux says Groupe Performance Marine has a history of placing high among dealers for the brand, finishing second highest in sales in 2012, and first in sales in 2011 and 2010. He says Chaparral sales have been fairly consistent across the brand's entire lineup.

In recognition of its achievement, Groupe Performance Marine was presented a handmade trophy bearing a scaled-down model of a 327 SSX Chaparral. A similar boat model trophy was presented to the boat builder's top Robalo dealer as well.

Monterey Boats recognized Groupe Performance Marine as its top-selling dealer in Canada at its annual dealer meeting held in Palm Beach, Florida in mid August. Monterey also recognized Don Hyde Marine, Hagersville, Ontario, which placed second in sales for Canada and Gordon Bay Marine in MacTier, Ontario, which placed third.

Groupe Performance Marine was Monterey's third highest selling Canadian dealer in 2011. Don Hyde Marine placed first in Canada for Monterey in 2012 and second in 2011. Gordon Bay Marine was also Monterey's third highest selling Canadian dealer in 2012.
