Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has awarded Quinn's Marina, Pefferlaw, ON its Canadian Sea-Doo Sport Boat National Dealer of the Year Award.
“I know that Quinn's has a knack for adapting to the market, and does its best to match its business to the customer's needs,” said Gary Potyok, district sales manager – Southern Ontario for BRP. “They always have a good customer satisfaction score.”
Quinn's Marina has been in business since 1949 and has carried Sea-Doo watercraft since 1988. In 1994, the family-run business began carrying Ski-Doo and was a 'phase 2' dealer for both Can-Am ATVs and Spyder Roadsters.
“I was shocked,” said Ted Quinn Jr., general manager for Quinn's Marina. “I knew that we were getting an award, but I thought it was a district award. To find out that we were a national award winner was quite a surprise.”
Quinn's Marina was one of four Canadian Sea-Doo Sport Boat dealers nominated for the national award along with Hi-Tech Powersports in Moncton, NB, Claude Ste-Marie Sport in St-Hubert, QC and Martin Motor Sports in Edmonton, AB.
Before selecting a dealer for the award, BRP takes several factors into account when considering potential candidates. These include, achieving 'Platinum' status in its Dealer Certification Program; placing qualifying orders in all product lines, clothing and/or related parts and accessories; achieving and surpassing territory average market share; and completing necessary technical and sales training with the product line. Qualifying dealers are also expected to show sales growth over the previous year, have an above average Customer Service Index (CSI) score for their territory, be in good standing with BRP, and can gain extra points for having multiple BRP lines such as Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Sea-Doo personal watercraft, Can-Am ATVs and the Spyder Roadster, and Evinrude outboard motors.
