Rec Boat Holdings, Cadillac, MI, maker of Four Winns, Glastron and Wellcraft, announced new product designs at its recent dealer meeting. The event, held at the Abbey Resort on Lake Geneva in Fontana, Wisconsin drew approximately 200 dealers from 25 countries.
"We've focused our efforts over the past two years on wisely utilizing our investment in new product development and optimizing our manufacturing operations,” stated Roch Lambert, Group President, Rec Boat Holdings. "It is now time to focus on our distribution and ensure we reach our customers through high achieving dealers. This meeting is designed to communicate how we are rethinking our business model to deliver on this result.”
Four Winns introduced the new RS model, which features a Stable-Vee hull design. The RS will be offered on the Horizon 180 and 190 starting in 2013. Four Winns also introduced a completely redesigned Horizon 190, featuring a low-profile swim platform and full aft sunpad that converts to lounge seating.
For the Glastron brand, the GTS 205 closed bow model made its debut. According to the company, the 20-foot roadster features a graphics package inspired by Glastron's classic James Bond era.
Lambert explained that the company will be shifting its future efforts to include new product development for the Wellcraft brand. "We have redesigned the interiors of our mid-range fishing lines to bring them ahead of competition in terms of comfort, functionality and overall appeal,” said Lambert. “Our plan is to expand the effort across the line in the coming year.”
