Organizers of the 2015 Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) have announced a final attendance of 21,953, setting a new attendance record for the world's largest marine equipment trade event.
The figure represents a four percent increase over the 21,083 marine equipment professionals who attended METS in 2014.
The show also established a new record for exhibitors, with 1,385 exhibiting a wide range of components and accessories, many in one of 19 national pavilions. This figure includes more than 200 first-time METS exhibitors.
"Once again METS has found a way to exceed all expectations,' said Scepter Marine's David Jones. "Our stand was busy from open to close each day.'
"METS was a great show as always,' said Whale Pumps' Keith Nixon. "We were in meetings with distributors and new clients pretty much non-stop from the opening. The enthusiasm and confidence level is definitely on the increase, and that's good to see. Things are definitely moving in the right direction. It's not explosive growth, but you can see the economic wheels are starting to turn again.'
The 2016 METS will be held from November 15 to 17 inclusive in the Amsterdam Rai convention centre.
