Regal Unveils New 24-foot Deck Boat

Regal Marine announced that it has begun production of a new 24-foot FasDeck. The company says the new model offers the deck-boat style layout with the performance of a sport boat.

“Our Regal design team and engineers really put a great effort into making the Regal 24 FasDeck an extremely usable sport-boat for the whole family,” commented Duane Kuck, President and CEO. “And it isn’t just change for novelty’s sake. These are innovations that matter to how you use and enjoy your boat.”

The 24 FasDeck has an 11-inch longer and six-inch wider cockpit than its predecessor, Regal’s 2220. It also features Regal’s UltraLounge aft bench and convertible sun pad, which has a multi-position backrest that converts from an aft- to forward-facing bench seat. It can also be converted into an aft facing lounger or a flat sun pad.

“This is a totally new design,” says Mark Kellum, Regal's Marketing Manager. “We recognize people are looking for flexible boats. We've been noticing a trend towards pontoon boats. And while we won't be building a pontoon boat anytime in the near future, we recognized that people are buying them because they offer family flexibility. We're seeing the demand for the specialized boat kind of disappearing because people can't afford to have a ski boat, Jon boat and a fishing boat. People are looking for a boat that can satisfy all of their family needs in one package.”

Other new features of the 24 FasDeck include a fibreglass dash with colour coordinated, heavy duty French stitched vinyl wrap. The dash is available with the multi-functional touch-screen monitor that can provide engine data, performance information, depth, programmable speed control, chart plotting GPS and engine faults in plain language. The Regal 24 FasDeck also has a comfortably accessed fully enclosed head with sink and freshwater faucet. The swim platform is mounted only inches from the water for easy boarding.

For water sports, the 24 FasDeck is available with an optional Regal PowerTower, board racks and speakers. The PowerTower also features electrically-actuated lowering to make accessing boat houses, dry storage, putting the trailer in the garage or slipping under a bridge easier.
