Registration is now open for the 2012 Atlantic Marine Trades Association (AMTA) annual conference, to be held on November 22 at the Saraguay House, part of the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron at 360 and 376 Purcell's Cove Road, Halifax, NS. All AMTA members are encouraged to attend.
The event kicks off at 11:00 am sharp with the AMTA Board of Directors meeting, followed by a lunch at 12:30. The AGM follows at 1:00 pm, with an attractive lineup of speakers scheduled for the afternoon session, from 2:00 to 4:30 pm. Discover Boating Marketing Manager Tracey Hart will provide an update on the program's 2012 successes, followed by a marine industry update by Richard Straka, National Account Manager at GE Finance. The Nova Scotia Boatbuilders' Association's Chip Dickison wraps things up with an update on the province's Marine Service Technician Apprenticeship Program.
Cocktails and dinner follow at the nearby Chocolate Lake Hotel, starting at 6:00 pm.
