Rick Layzell Joins MD Marine Insurance and NautiMax


MD Marine Insurance and NautiMax are very pleased to have secured the services of Rick Layzell in order to expand their business and communications platforms.

Earlier today, Sylvain Tisi, Vice-President of MD Marine Insurance and NautiMax, made the announcement.

"Over the next five years we are going forward with a very aggressive growth plan and I have been seeking an individual to fulfill this key senior role in our company, one from within the boating community,” says Tisi. “I have done business with Rick before and knew of his integrity in the marine industry as well as his 25 years of dealer and industry relationships.'

Tisi went on to say that Layzell's new role would not only involve growth of the MD Marine Insurance portfolio, but that he would also be a strong asset to existing and new NautiMax business partners. Layzell's official title will be Business Development and Communications Manager.

Layzell has assembled a 25 year career in the marine industry most recently as Sales Manager for Gordon Bay Marine in MacTier, Ontario. Prior to that he spent 19 years with Yamaha Motor Canada and initially began his career with Grew Boats and the Canadian National Sportsmen Shows. Layzell has served on a myriad of both dealer and manufacturer boards primarily with NMMA, Boating Ontario and Discover Boating.

Layzell's start date will be January 2, 2014 and he will be on hand throughout the Toronto International Boat Show alongside the rest of the MD Marine Insurance and NautiMax teams.
