Former BRP Vice President and General Manager Roch Lambert has been named President of the recreational boat division of Project Boat Holdings. The Cadillac, Michigan-based firm is an affiliate of Platinum Equity, which acquired the Ranger, Stratos , Champion, Four Winns, Glastron and Wellcraft brands from Genmar Corp. bankruptcy earlier this year.
“Roch is a strong leader and highly experienced operator in the boat and engine manufacturing industries, and he shares our long-term vision for manufacturing and marketing world class boat brands,” said company Principal Louis Samson in a statement. “Strengthening the management team is part of our continued commitment to support and grow these internationally recognized recreational boat brands.”
Lambert was Vice President and General manager for the Evinrude and Johnson outboard engines division at Bombardier Recreation Products (BRP), more recently holding responsibility for the company's Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo and Evinrude divisions. He left BRP in November 2009.
