Scout Boats, based in Summerville, South Carolina, has been named a Roaring Twenties award recipient – one of the 20 best-performing large companies in South Carolina for 2015.
The independent fibreglass boat manufacturer received the annually presented honour from SC Biz News. The award recognizes South Carolina's best-performing small and large companies based on both dollar and percentage increases in revenue from 2013 to 2014.
"This is a prestigious statewide award and we're humbled that we were selected as one of the top 20 large companies again this year,' said Scout CEO and Founder Steve Potts. "We've experienced positive growth in many areas of our company and market share, and we're honoured it's being recognized from state awards to Presidential candidates holding press conferences at our facility.'
A profile of Scout Boats will be published in the winter issue of SCBIZ magazine. All winners will be honoured on October 28 at the Marriott Columbia in Columbia, SC.
In order to qualify for the Roaring Twenties designation, companies must have a physical presence in South Carolina and be a for-profit entity or a nonprofit organization.
Scout builds boat models ranging from 17 to 42 feet in length.
