The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) has announced that Sea Ray Boats is the recipient of eight Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Awards for 2009. This is the sixth consecutive year the company has been recognized by the NMMA for excellence in customer satisfaction.
“We are fully aware of the critical role our dealers play in ensuring customer satisfaction,” said Rick Stone, president of Sea Ray Boats. “Our dealer network sets and shapes customers' expectations and perceptions of product quality, service and on-going satisfaction.”
Sea Ray received recognition in several categories including Deck Boats, Inboard Express Cruisers, Inboard Fishing Express Boats, Inboard Flybridge Sedans and Convertible Boats, Inboard Motor Yachts and Trawlers, Fiberglass Outboard Boats, Sterndrive Bowrider Boats, and Sterndrive and Express Boats.
“As we work together to strengthen our industry, customer satisfaction and retention will always be our foundation for growth,” said Tom Dammrich, president of the NMMA. “This year's Marine Industry CSI Award recipients are at the forefront of our industry's growth potential and are helping to ensure the experience of purchasing and owning a boat and adding value to the overall enjoyment of the boating lifestyle.”
To qualify for consideration for a Marine Industry CSI Award, organizations must meet an independently measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction over the course of a year. Scores were generated based on customer feedback after purchasing a new boat or engine between April 1, 2008 and March 31, 2009.
The NMMA's 2009 CSI award recipients will be recognized at the International Boat Builders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX), October 12 to 14, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, FL.
