Town and Country Marine Becomes Malibu Dealer

Town and Country Marine in Buckhorn, Ontario, has become a dealer for Malibu boats. The dealer will offer Malibu's entire lineup of wakeboard boats as well as its more entry-level Axis brand.

Town and Country is scheduled to receive its first shipment of Malibu boats in three weeks, but it's already actively selling the brand. The dealer says it's spreading the announcement of its new line to its customer-base primarily through email.

“In the Kawartha's, boating is everyone's favourite passion, and with the number of families joining our great region every summer, there is a growing demand for quality ski and performance boats, and wake sport-driven tow boats,” explains Scott Brundle, a Partner of Town and Country Marine. “We are extremely excited to welcome such an exemplary boat company as Malibu.”

According to Brundle, Town and Country's staff already has some experience with tow boats and wakeboarding, and shouldn't have any difficulty handling the new brand. “Malibu's are fairly sophisticated, but it's nothing we haven't used before,” says Brundle. “Nonetheless, we'll be sending staff for service training on these boats.”

Malibu currently has 10 dealers in Canada and sees potential for growth in the near future. “We have very similar business practices and goals,” says Mark Gibbs, Malibu's Northwestern Regional Sales Representative, which includes Canada. “We share the same commitment to our customers.”

Town and Country also currently carries Bayliner, SeaRay and Berkshire boats as well as Mercury engines.
