Tracker Marine Group has recently announced it will be consolidating its aluminum boat production to its Lebanon, MO facility. According to the company, the transition of moving its aluminum boat production from its Bolivar, MO plant to its facility in Lebanon is expected to take place over the next couple of months.
“Our flexible operations in Lebanon give us production capacity to respond with appropriate volume as market conditions dictate,” said Terry Shook, Tracker Marine Group's senior vice president of operations. “Our realignment will result in better use of resources with better efficiencies and continued improvement in production quality.”
According to Tracker, the consolidation is necessary due to the reduction of consumer demand for new model-year boats and the continued tightening of credit in the United States. The resizing of operations could potentially impact approximately 80 associates, however, according to Tracker, other positions will be made available at its Lebanon facility and other company locations.
