True North Yachts Now Handling Dufour Yachts

Port Credit, Ontario-based True North Yachts is now the Ontario and Eastern Canadian dealer for Dufour Yachts.

In a statement made during the Toronto International Boat Show, True North Vice President Allan Mestel said, “We are extremely excited to represent Dufour in the Ontario and Eastern Canada market and we feel that these exceptional boats really add depth to our portfolio at True North Yachts. Dufour will be a great complement to our existing Hunter line and fills an important market void. Dufour is a brand that will be re-established in North America as a market leader.”

According to Mestel, True North Yachts will have a pair of Dufour Yacht models on display at the Port Credit In-water and the Toronto In-water boat shows this year. He says these will likely be the 405 from the Grand'Large line and a 34E or 40E from the Performance line.

Based in La Rochelle, France, Dufour has been building performance cruising yachts since 1965.

True North Yachts will be representing both the Grand'Large and Performance lines. The Grand'Large line consists of seven boats, the 325, 365, the new 405, 425, 455, 485 and 525, and the Performance line consists of three, the 34E, 40E and 45E. The day after being appointed a dealer, True North signed a contract for its first boat sale: a 425 coming soon to Toronto.
