Twelve Products Honoured for Innovation at Miami International Boat Show

Eleven marine products received the 2011 Innovation Award and another received an Honorable Mention at the 70th annual Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail Miami.

The announcement was made at the National Marine Manufacturers Association's (NMMA) State of the Recreational Boating Industry Breakfast on February 17. The show runs from February 17 to 21 inclusive at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Each year the Innovation Awards are organized by the NMMA and judged by Boating Writers International (BWI). Products entered for judging are evaluated based on the following criteria: innovative distinction from other products currently being manufactured; benefit to the marine industry and/or consumer; practicality; cost-effectiveness; and availability to the consumer within 60 days of award receipt.

Awards were presented in the following nine categories:

Cruisers (25' to 60' including fishing craft)

Company: Chaparral 327
Product: SSX Bow Rider
