US Outboard Engine Shipments Up in April

According to a recent report from the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), US outboard engine shipments were up in the month of April.

On a rolling 12-month basis, engine wholesale shipments south of the border were up six percent year over year through April for NMMA's control group of manufacturers, which represent 95 percent of the market.

Gains were led by four-strokes and higher-powered engines. Total retail sales based on warranty card registrations for the same period were up 7.9 percent.
