Walker Bay Boats has given its popular Genesis RIB a new look for 2011, the product's first update since it was launched in 2006.
“Take a look at high-end automotive manufacturers today and you'll quickly notice the trend towards clean, bright and spacious styling” says Walker Bay's Vice President of Sales, Chris Carroll. The company's goal, he says is “to have the Genesis stand apart in features and workmanship. The new modernized design re-enforces that.”
The boat's extruded aluminum transom changes from powder-coated to anodized in the 2011 models, while fabric options are now differentiated by color. Tubes made from high-quality Heytex PVC come in a solid light-gray, while tubes made from UV-resistant Hypalon now come in white. Handles and logos have been modified to reflect the new streamlined design. Carroll notes that the performance-enhancing hull continues to be manufactured from injection-molded polypropylene, while trim tabs further enable the boats to plane quickly so smaller engines achieve greater speeds.
The 2011 models began shipping in December.
