Wellington Marina Now a CBSA Telephone Reporting Site

Boaters arriving from the US have another location where they can be processed for Canada Customs via a telephone reporting process. Wellington Marina located in Prince Edward County, on the north shore of Lake Ontario, between Kingston and Cobourg has been designated as a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Telephone Reporting Site/Marine (TRS/M).

Upon arrival at the designated reporting marine site, the captain of the vessel crossing to the Canadian side of the border is required to contact the CBSA at 1 (888) 226-7277. Canadian residents must and declare any goods bought while outside of Canada. US residents must declare any goods being brought into Canada. The border services officer will provide visitors a number that must be displayed on the dockside of their boat. Frequent cross-border travelers that would like to clear customs and immigration fasters should look into the CANPAS  Private Boats Program.

The marina reports recently adding four new transient, full service slips, bringing it's total to 10 available.
