White River Marine Group Appoints New General Manager for Ranger

Bass Pro Shops Founder, Johnny Morris, sent an update out to the company's dealer network announcing structural and personnel changes. Recently, Fishing Holdings LLC and Tracker Marine Group unified under a new banner, White River Marine Group.

Bart Schad has been named Ranger's General Manager and Vice President for Marketing and Sales. Schad is an 18-year veteran of Ranger Boats, with prior experience in sales, marketing and licensing spanning more than 25 years. He will lead an experienced senior leadership team with an average tenure of 25 years at Ranger from the company's Flippin, Arkansas headquarters, which is about a two hour-drive from Bass Pro Shops' headquarters in Springfield, Missouri.

There were several additional appointments within the company, including:
• Becky Raynor, a Ranger team member for 16 years, is promoted to Director of Sales.
• Lance Newton, a Ranger team member for 13 years, has been named Director of Product Development where he will continue to work closely with the engineering and manufacturing departments.
• Jeff Gammill, a Tracker team member for 14 years, will serve as Plant Manager for Ranger, Triton and Stratos.

Regarding the formation of the White River Marine Group title, Morris says the move will allow the Ranger, Stratos and Triton brands to take advantage of the resources available from Bass Pro Shops and Tracker Marine while maintaining each line's integrity and dealer networks. He promises that each brand will maintain separate product development as well as marketing and sales teams to help ensure differentiated product offerings.

The announcement follows the November departure of upper management members from Fishing Holdings.

In December, Morris sent out a letter to dealers explaining the leadership situation as well as potentially moving production of the Triton and Stratos brands away from the company's Flippin, Arkansas plant. The move is designed to "increase capacity and enable us to better serve Triton and Stratos dealers and their customers,' said Morris in his letter. "We believe this action will also free up space for increased production of Ranger brand fresh and saltwater boats and accessories in Flippin.'

Ranger's previous senior management members, including former President Randy Hopper; former VP Sales and Marketing, Keith Daffron; and former CFO, Mendel Hughes; and have not publicly announced any future plans within the marine industry as of this time.
