Campion Marine will exhibit the world's first bio resin, bio diesel boat at the Toronto International Boat Show, held at the Direct Energy Centre from January 8 to 16 inclusive.
The boat – a 2010 model Allante 645 powered by a Volvo Penta diesel – is the first of its kind off the line and now privately owned by Mr. Mark Hayhoe of K2 Milling. “We thoroughly enjoyed the boat on Lake Muskoka this summer and the boat worked flawlessly,” says Mr. Hayhoe. His company, K2 Milling, fittingy produces high protein and fibre flour from byproducts of the biodiesel process.
2010 was a busy year for Campion Marine. With the introduction of Ashland's Envirez resin, Ecomate flotation foams and Acrastrip acetone replacement, Campion has made bold steps forward to create a more environmentally friendly boat, says General Manager Bock Elliott. These changes earned the company accolades from media and the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce.
A family-owned company, Campion Marine manufactures 37 models and 48 variations of boats from 16 to 30 feet in length, which are are sold in more than 30 countries.
