Zodiac of North America will unveil the fifth rigid hull inflatable boat (RIB) in the company's Bayrunner Series – the Pro 500 – at the 2010 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, opening tomorrow.
The Pro 500 Bayrunner will be on display, along with other popular Zodiac RIB and inflatable models, in the company's booth (# 1057) during the show. The model is the second in size succession in the Bayrunner series, flanked by the 420, 550, 650 and 850 Pro models.
“Our Bayrunner series has been designed to be primary day cruisers for the family with an open seating deck plan,” said Zodiac of North America General Manager, Gary Dickman. “With an available Neoprene-Hypalon (grey) or PVC (red or grey) removable tube system, this model takes up less space when being stored by deflating the tubes. And because this model is lightweight, it also offers less fuel burn as another advantage.”
The Bayrunner Pro 500 accommodates up to four adult passengers, offers an overall length of 15 feet, five inches, and a stable beam of six feet, nine inches. It also boasts a top speed of over 40 mph. Additional features include a deep-V performance hull, molded non-skid deck, courtesy and navigation lights, bow rail and a 12-gallon fuel tank. Additional standard features include a bow locker and glove box at the helm. Optionals include a canvas Bimini top, ski tow bar, boat cover and upgraded console elements.
