Ottawa Boat and Sportsmen’s Show Changes Name

Come 2017’s edition of the Ottawa Boat and Sportsmen’s Show will now be known as The Ottawa Boat Show. The 42nd annual show will take place at the 150,000 square-foot EY Centre (4899 Uplands Dr.) in Ottawa, Ontario from February 23 to 26, 2017.

According to event organizers, Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows, over the past five years of the event, the show has evolved into primarily a boat show, hence the show’s new name embraces that fact.

“We feel that changing the name of the show will provide clarity and an immediate opportunity to produce even stronger shows going forward,” says Peter Lockhart, President of the Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows. “This rebranding allows us to focus even more on supporting our marine exhibitor base. Boats and related products now make up over 85 percent of the show and we want to be on the same page as our key exhibitors.”

Organizers says the newly renamed show will strive to incorporate additional relevant exhibitors moving forward to better promote the exciting boating opportunities offered in the Ottawa region.

The Ottawa Boat Show has been held at the EY Centre since 2012. For more information on the show, visit www.ottawaboatandsportshow.ca.
